PRINCE GEORGE BC – The Spruce Kings are thrilled to announce that forward Preston Brodziak has committed to play at the newest NCAA Division 1 Hockey program at Long Island University (LIU) located in Brooklyn, NY.

Brodziak finished the 2019-20 campaign with 15 goals and 17 assists in 56 games played. The Estevan, SK product wraps up his BCHL career with 82 points in 165 games played.

“We are very happy for Preston. He was a great competitor and teammate for us last season,” says GM Mike Hawes. “He is very deserving of this opportunity.”

Brodziak played his BCHL career with three teams including the Spruce Kings, the Nanaimo Clippers, and the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

“We are very excited for Preston’s commitment to Long Island University. Preston made a very positive impact on our team this past season,” mentions Head Coach Alex Evin. “He was a pleasure to coach every day and we look forward to following Preston and LIU’s future success.”
