Brandon Manning to Help Coach Spruce Kings Hockey School

With the Prince George Spruce Kings hockey school set to start in two weeks, the team is thrilled to announce that Spruce Kings alumni, and current Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Brandon Manning will be helping with the school this year.

Brandon Manning is from Prince George and played the 2007/2008 season with the Spruce Kings collecting 26 points in 58 games. He then moved onto the WHL where he spent three full seasons with the Chilliwack Bruins before moving on to play with the Adirondack Phantoms, the AHL affiliate team of the Philadelphia Flyers. This past season was the first year spent full time with the Flyers, and he was able to pick up his first NHL goal against the New York Islanders.

With three weeks of hockey school, Manning will help instruct the students one day each week. This will include on ice training, as well as autograph signings from the NHL player.

The Spruce Kings hockey school has a session each week starting on August 8th, and concluding on the week of August 22nd.
