Alexander Commits to Play U-Sports Hockey At University of Toronto

PRINCE GEORGE BC – The Spruce Kings are excited to announce that goaltender Jett Alexander (‘99) has committed to play for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues for the 2020/21 season.

“It was a decision I had been weighing for a while now and felt I had taken enough time and done my homework about where I want to spend my next four years both academically and in hockey,” said Alexander.

Alexander played his final year of junior hockey this past season in Prince George, finishing with a 13-19-5 record, a 3.14 goals against average, and an .894 save percentage. Despite falling in the opening round of the BCHL playoffs, Alexander was no short of sensational in the series. The 6’6 goaltender from Bloomfield, ON finished with a .914 save percentage in the playoffs.

“The staff has been great during the process and the organization is top notch (in Toronto), much like the program where I spent my final year of junior hockey in Prince George,” added Alexander

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues compete in the OUA West Division in U-Sports. The Varsity Blues won their division in 2019/20 finishing with a 20-1-2-5 record.

The Spruce Kings would like to congratulate Jett on his commitment and the best of luck in his future endeavours!
