Adam Burnett

Adam Burnett

Position: Defenceman

DOB: July 18th, 1996

Hometown: Waterdown, ON

Shoots: Left

Adam Burnett is the lone player left from last season’s defence corps. After bouncing around a few teams in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, Burnett has found a great fit in Prince George. He is a major minute muncher, and this year has been paired up with rookie Liam Watson-Brawn on the back end.

Offensively, Burnett literally doubled his production this season. In the 2015/16 campaign he had three goals and 10 assists for 13 points, this year he had six goals and 20 helpers. His PIM also dropped by four despite being tasked with shutting down the top lines of other teams.

At the Spruce Kings Players Awards Banquet and Auction this year, Burnett received the 7th man award, which is awarded to a player that excels on the ice, but may not get the recognition he deserves. An alternate captain with the team this season, the big defenceman has been a strong voice on and off the ice.
