  1. US

The Spruce Kings are coming off a 2-1 shootout loss against the Vernon Vipers on Wednesday night at the RMCA. Despite throwing 40 shots towards goaltender Riley Herbst, the Spruce Kings were only able to muster one goal past the American goaltender. Preston Brodziak had the lone goal for the Spruce Kings who now has the team lead in goals with nine. Andrew Seaman has put some very good games together as of late. He may have only gotten one assist in these last couple games, but he has had some great chances and looks. Seaman says he likes the way he has been playing, but knows there is more work to do…

“I have been feeling pretty good as of late. I feel that these past games have been pretty fast which suits my style of play. I feel we have had some great chances, but hopefully we can execute a little bit more” says Seaman.

THEM

The Capitals are coming off a 6-2 win against the West Kelowna Warriors at the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan. Tanner Sidaway had two goals of the six from Cowichan. Ben Howard got the win in goal as well. Throughout Cowichan’s opening 24 games, they have been led offensively from both Luc Wilson and Matthew Crasa. Wilson currently sits with 27 points in 24 games this year. Crasa leads the Caps in goals with 14.

  1. US VS THEM

This is the second and final meeting between the Capitals and Spruce Kings. The Capitals drew first blood three weeks ago at the Cowichan Community Centre. The Capitals were 6-1 winners. Luc Wilson had a hat trick effort, while Nolan Welsh had the lone goal for Prince George.

  1. THIS AND THAT

THIS: Following tonight’s game with the Capitals, the Spruce Kings wrap the three game homestand tomorrow night against the West Kelowna Warriors THAT: Forward Nick Poisson has signed his NLI to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at Providence College for the 2020-21 season.

  1. PLAYERS TO WATCH

 SPRUCE KINGS (F) PRESTON BRODZIAK

Brodziak currently sits with a team leading nine goals after netting home a goal against Vernon on Wednesday night. The former Capital has been playing some great Hockey on home ice and is looking to lead his club to a win tonight.

CAPITALS – (F) MATTHEW CRASA

It’s fairly easy to notice Crasa when looking at the Capitals roster. The New York City native leads the team in goals with 14 and also had a goal in the last meeting between Prince George and Cowichan.
