Tanguay Traded to Dukes

The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to announce that they have traded 20 year old goalie Sam Tanguay to the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

Tanguay was acquired on September 16th in a trade with the Aurora Tigers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League that saw Alex-Brooks Potts sent out East along with future considerations. Last season, the Quebec City native played in the Ontario Hockey League where he had three wins, 18 losses, and a shootout loss with the Sudbury Wolves. In 22 games this year with the Spruce Kings, Tanguay had four wins, and 17 losses. Against the Cowichan Valley Capitals in his second last start before the Christmas break, Tanguay made 29 saves to record his first BCHL shutout.
