Spruce Kings look to Salem to fill vacancy on the blueline

The Prince George Spruce Kings added a necessary piece to its blueline acquiring 18-year-old Luc Salem from the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

The Los Angeles California product spent last season with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks U18 team.

He tallied 5 goals and 19 assists for 24 points in 32 games played for the Ducks.

This season in Brooks Salem had recorded 3 assists in 8 games played for the Bandits.

“We are excited to add Luc to our lineup. He is a skilled player who thinks the game very well. We can utilize his offensive abilities to generate opportunities for us at even strength and on the powerplay. He’s also a very good skater who will be able to transition quickly into our team’s high paced style of play” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.

Luc will be in the lineup on Wednesday night as the Spruce Kings host the Merritt Centennials at 7:00 pm at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
