The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce that their Spring Prospects Camp is coming up this weekend. With over 100 athletes registered, the Spruce Kings are excited to look at a new pool of talent. Players from the camp are hoping to earn an invitation to the team’s main training camp in August, or even be signed to the team for next season.
The camp will run from April 8th to 10th in the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (please see attached schedule.) Players will be split into six teams, then practice Friday afternoon, and play games Friday night, all day Saturday, Sunday morning and culminating with the top 40 players in camp earning a spot in the Top Prospect Game at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Fans are invited to attend the camp, as there is no admission for the games played on the weekend.
Players attending the camp are born from 1997-2001. Last year four players were signed out of Spring Camp (Parker Colley, Liam McCloskey, Kyle Johnson, and Nic Ponak) while Liam Watson-Brawn and Jesse Pomeroy committed later in the season, and played as affiliated players through the year.
