PREVIEW: 2017 BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack

All 17 BCHL teams are competing in the 2017 Showcase this weekend at the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, which is also the site for the 2018 RBC Cup later this season.

The Prince George Spruce Kings will be playing two games in the contest in front of hockey scouts, coaches, and fans alike.

On record, the red, white, and blue hold a 10-game record in the Showcase of 6-3-0-1 with a points percentage of 0.650.

That number has them tied for fifth amongst the league!

GAME-TIMES:

Their first contest comes bright and early on Friday morning against the Interior Division’s Merritt Centennials.

The Spruce Kings are looking to continue their undefeated streak currently sitting at 3-0-1-0, while the Cents are searching for their first victory of 2017-18 through four games.

Prince George got the best of Merritt last season winning two and tying the season-opener at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA).

The Spruce Kings lost both regular season games last year, 0-2, to the provincial capital’s team.
