Prince George Spruce Kings Assistant Coach 2012-13 Season
Position Description
The Assistant Coach will be responsible to help the Head Coach with the development and implementation of on-ice and off-ice actives and training programs. You must have strong communication, administrative, organizational and time management skills. Some of the specific duties include:
- Assist with player evaluation and the player selection process
- Assist with planning, organizing and conducting practices
- Assist with pre-game preparation including video analysis
- Assist with the operation of the team during the games
- Assist with scouting and evaluation of opponents
- Assist with the supervision of players off and on the ice
- Assist with the formulation of the game plan
- Submit a year end report to the head coach containing player observation
- Conduct curfew calls
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have Hockey Canada Coaching Stream and Speak Out accreditation. Preference will be given to the candidate that has previous coaching experience at the Junior A, Junior B or Midget level or higher.
