DeBrouwer Commits to Sun Devils

The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to announce that goaltender Evan DeBrouwer has committed to Arizona State University, starting in the 2018/2019 season.

DeBrouwer, who was acquired in the off-season from the Nanaimo Clippers, finished the year with a 26-14-4 record with 3 shutouts, a 2.24 GAA and a .920 SV%. He also played the 2nd most minutes in the BCHL, and is a finalist for the BCHL Top Goaltender Award.

Prior to Prince George and Nanaimo, DeBrouwer played for the Smith Falls Bears in the CCHL.

“Evan is a great teammate, leader, and has worked extremely hard to improve each week,” says Spruce Kings Assistant Coach Alex Evin, “It is very rewarding to see our players reach their goals of playing college hockey and getting an opportunity to further their education. We are very proud of Evan and look forward to tracking his future success.”

You can catch Evan DeBrouwer and his teammates in action Friday night as they open up their Best-of-7 First Round Series with the Chilliwack Chiefs at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena at 7 PM.
