DOB: October 24th, 1997

Hometown: Penticton, BC

Shoots: Left

Last year was the first full season playing in the BCHL for Cooper Prechel. After a seven game stint with the Merritt Centennials in the 2014/15 season, Cooper Prechel signed on with the Spruce Kings. After posting nine points in 23 games with the Penticton Posse of the KIJHL, Prechel posted six points in 36 games in the big league. He didn’t score his first goal of the season until February 3rd against the Vernon Vipers, but it made it’s way to TSN radio in Vancouver as the Goal Call of the Week.

After missing most of October and all of November with an upper body injury, Prechel returned to the lineup in early December. “Coop” has his biggest offensive outburst in late January/early February when he had one goal and three assists in a span of three games. As a defender he was well disciplined with just three penalties in his 36 games.

Prechel will join his teammates this coming August when training camp starts up on August 25th.
