Rod PelleyThe Prince George Spruce Kings are proud to see that Rod Pelley has signed with the New Jersey Devils of the NHL. Pelley played for two seasons with the Spruce Kings in 2000/01 and 2001/02 before heading off to school at Ohio State University.

Rod Pelley was an offensive force for the Prince George Spruce Kings registering 14 goals and 21 assists in 54 games during his rookie year in the BCHL. Pelley began the 2001/02 season in Prince George and was traded the Vernon Vipers at the trade deadline; scoring 31 goals and adding 43 points in his second season in te BCHL.

Rod Pelley was the Spruce Kings Rookie of the Year for 2000/01 and wore the 'C' in 2001/02. He was named to the BCHL All-Star Game and named to the BCHL First Team All-Star in 2002. Pelley was a member of Team Pacific winning silver at the Under 17 World Hockey  Challenge in 2001.

Rod Pelley spent four seasons at Ohio State, where he registered 47 goals and 41 assists; he was selected to the conference’s Second All-Star Team in 2005. Pelley's career also includes trips to the 2004 and 2005 NCAA Tournaments, while capturing the 2004 CCHA Championship where he was named to the All-Tournament Team.

At 21 (Sept 1, 1984), Rod Pelley has a long and bright future ahead of him and the Prince George Spruce Kings are happy to have been a small part of his career. Good Luck Rod.
