For the second consecutive night, the Prince George Spruce Kings earned a point on the road after tying the Alberni Valley Bulldogs by a 3-3 score on Saturday.
The Bulldogs jumped on Spruce Kings netminder Brad Cooper who was pulled after allowing a pair of goals in the second period to Cayden Kraus and Christian Simeone making it 2-0 for the hosts.
Prince George then rallied behind 20-year old Evan DeBrouwer with two late goals of their own courtesy of Nolan Welsh and Ethan de Jong tying up the contest at 2-2 after 40 minutes.
In the third, de Jong scored his second of the game just three minutes into the third giving the Spruce Kings 3-2 lead.
Unfortunately, Alberni Valley came back later in the period when Isaac Tonkin-Palmer slid one past DeBrouwer to even the score at three as regulation time expired.
Overtime solved nothing as the Spruce Kings outshot the Bulldogs 35-33.
Prince George is now 7-4-2-3 on the season and will conclude the road trip on Sunday against the Nanaimo Clippers at 2 PM from the Frank Crane Arena.
The Langley Rivermen are a point up on PG for the lead in the Mainland Division.
