Ben Brar Added from Penticton Vees

The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the acquisition of 18 year old forward Ben Brar from the Penticton Vees in exchange for future considerations.

The 6’2” 180 pound Brar is from Abbotsford and was in his second season with the Vees. Last season in 55 games he tallied 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points plus 17 minutes in penalties. This season in 21 games Brar had 2 goals and 4 points. Prior to Penticton Ben played for the prestigious Yale Hockey Academy Midget Prep team where he tallied 29 goals and 30 assists for 59 points in 28 games played.

Ben is committed to play NCAA division 1 hockey for the University of Denver Pioneers starting in the 2018/2019 season.

“Ben is a gifted player who will get an opportunity to show that with our team. We have a very good group of forwards who all work hard in both ends of the rink and Ben will help compliment that group. He has the size, speed and ability to be a very good player for us for the next couple of seasons as he develops and prepares for NCAA division 1 hockey” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.
