Amnesty Game

Fans Invited to Exchange Unused Tickets to Attend Tonight’s Game

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are excited to present their first ever “Amnesty Game” allowing fans to exchange unused tickets from the 2013-14 season for a ticket to tonight’s (February 13, 2014) game.

“This is an opportunity for our fans to get full value out of their tickets they have purchased through the season,” said Spruce Kings Communications Director, Ron Gallo. “Life happens and we are all very busy with our work and families. Getting to every game isn’t always a possibility even when that may have been the intention. This allows those that missed a game to attend tonight’s game without being out of pocket.”

“I can’t think of a better game for fans to want to come and see,” added Gallo. “The Spruce Kings and the Langley Rivermen have been one-two in the Mainland Division for almost the entire season. This could be a first place showdown with these two teams starting a five game series to end out the regular season.”

The Spruce Kings have been in a playoff spot since the middle of January and have had their sights on top spot ever since. The club is also down to needing just one more win to secure home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The success of the team earned the entire coaching staff two year extensions on their contracts yesterday. This is the third consecutive year that head coach Dave Dupas has led his team to a post season appearance and is on pace for the team’s best finish since the 2004/05 season.

Game time tonight is 7pm. Those fans wanting to take advantage of the amnesty period are reminded they can bring any valid unused ticket to exchange with no additional service charges or fees.
